Community Supporters

SEEC is grateful to the generosity of members of our community who share our vision. Our work has been supported by hundreds of individuals, many local businesses, and grant-making organizations who want to help people with developmental disabilities achieve their dreams.

Community support comes in may ways: through individual gifts, participation in special events, sponsorships, grants, and in-kind contributions.

We hope you will become a SEEC community supporter. Visit our Giving to SEEC page to learn how you can make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors who face significant challenges in their every day lives.

SEEC Meets $75,000 Challenge Grant from
The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation

In February of 2008, SEEC received a grant of $75,000 from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to support our Person-Centered Thinking and Planning Initiative. A second grant of $75,000 was offered provided SEEC raise an equivalent amount from other supporters. The Weinberg Foundation did this intentionally to leverage their support as an incentive for others to contribute to our work.

Thanks to a generous grant and contributions from SEEC families and community supporters, we not only met, but exceeded the challenge, turning $75,000 in to $150,000! This money is designated to help cover expenses related to community employment and recreation and staff training and development. We are grateful to all of our supporters for making this significant financial achievement possible.
